   President Bill Strawn formed an association with Vertical Assessments Associates in January 2001. Through this association, we are able to draw from a greater level of industry experience, with six former State Elevator Inspectors on staff.
   Bill Strawn along with Lee Rigby, President of Vertical Assessments, have more than 40 years combined experience in the elevator industry in Florida. Their elevator related training is very diverse and includes construction, service, sales, project management, company ownership, advanced electronics, high pressure welding, quality assurance, hydraulic systems design/maintenance and plans review. Mr. Rigby and Mr. Strawn are both past employees of the Florida Bureau of Elevator Safety where both performed supervisory tasks.
   Mr. Strawn, plans examiner and Mr. Rigby, engineer III were responsible for the review of all installation drawings, formal code interpretations for the state and the supervision of the other 21 inspector positions as well as four contract agencies. Mr. Strawn and Mr. Rigby sit on state and national elevator code writing committees.
